Description
Locomotive Nameplate “PERSEVERANCE”, as carried by Stanier designed Jubilee Class numbered 5731 later 45731, built Crewe Works. Emerging to traffic in October 1936. Allocations included Carlisle Kingmoor & Upperby . Scottish boarders loco all its life, except at the end. Finished up at Blackpool in 1962. Withdrawn October 1962. This plate has not been offered in auction before now. Lightly polished face, ex loco back, 2 x pop marks indicating right hand side. 40″ in length. Superb quality.
