Locomotive Smokebox Numberplate “42981”, as carried by Stanier Mogul. Built Crewe Works, emerging to traffic 1934, new to Newton Heath Depot. A multitude of transfers took place through this locos working life, including Crewe South, Aston, Willesden, Bushbury, Bescot, Wigan, Mold, Birkenhead, Rugby, Gorton, finally Heaton Mersey. This much moved loco was almost certainly a pup, as noone really wanted her, but the smokebox survived. v.g.c. repainted face, ex loco back. | £300.00 |
