Description

Smokebox Numberplate “45027”, as carried by Stanier Class 5 4-6-0 mixed traffic loco.  Built at Vulcan Foundry, emerging to traffic September 1934.  Allocations include Crewe N, Willesden, Mold Jct, Rugby, Nuneaton, Aston, Woodford Halse, Bletchley, Carnforth, finally Stockport.  Withdrawn May 1968, one of the very last.  A well-travelled loco.  Totally ex loco condition.
