Description

L&NWR, L&YR pattern 3 Aspect Handlamp, body stamped “L&NWR Baxendale” “3800”.  Brass catch on back handle stamped “L&NWR”. Original vessel with integral reflector stamped “L&NWR” with a “LM&SR” burner, complete with all glasses.  This lamp is very rare as they were only produced like this with L&NWR stamping for 12 months as the L&YR amalgamated with the L&NWR in 1922, by 1923 this new company had become part of the LMS.  A superb lamp.
